Previously a hat shop before being converted into a characterful holiday home, this stone cottage may appear traditional from the outside, but step inside and you’ll find an open plan living space, which includes a seating area, a dining area and a kitchen. The vaulted ceiling enhances the feeling of space as does the soothing colour palette of neutral, earthy tones punctuated by subtle blue accents in the furniture and accessories, while the exposed timber roof beams add a beautiful rustic touch.

Relaxed seating creates a snug zone to curl up and watch a movie after a day’s adventures, and there’s a desk positioned by the window, so you can catch up on emails too.

The bedroom is a comfortable haven with an upholstered super-king bed to sink into at the end of the day, while, as in the living space, the vaulted and beamed ceiling adds character here. The shower room off the sitting room features a large walk-in shower, and is also suited to guests with limited mobility.

The compact kitchen includes everything you need to rustle up a meal or prep a picnic lunch to go, while The Hat Shop offers a wealth of options nearby if you’d prefer to dine out.
