Description

Situated between the charming fishing village of Craster and the historic market town of Alnwick, Littlehoughton Hall and Pele Tower boasts an enviable position on the Northumbrian coastline. Only a few miles from the sea, you can enjoy a beautifully secluded location accessed via a private driveway and surrounded by lush herbaceous borders, mature woodland and rolling countryside.

A spacious home comprising two separate, self-contained and character filled properties, The Pele Tower and Littlehoughton Hall are connected via internal interlinking doors on the first and ground floor. With its flexible layout, guests can enjoy the entire space as one large accommodation sleeping up to 12 guests, or keep the properties separate for added privacy when desired.

With a host of inviting living spaces to choose from, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to relaxing in comfort. Gather in the formal dining room of Littlehoughton hall with its ambient log burner, antique furniture and extendable table or linger over a leisurely breakfast in one of the fully equipped country kitchens. If you’d prefer a quieter corner to unwind, choose from two thoughtfully decorated and airy living rooms or curl up with a good book in the sun-filled conservatory whilst enjoying scenic views across the garden.

Perfectly arranged for two families, the sleeping accommodation is thoughtfully arranged across both properties, each offering three spacious bedrooms. In The Pele Tower you’ll find three king size bedrooms, including a ground floor master bedroom complete with en suite bathroom and rainforest shower. Two further well-appointed bedrooms, decorated in calming neutral tones, can be found on the first floor with a spacious family bathroom off the hallway.

All three bedrooms lie on the second floor of Littlehoughton Hall, accessed via a central staircase lit by a large arched window. Decorated in a calming palette of cream and powder blue, the master bedroom can be configured either as a super king or twin and is home to a picturesque window seat set beneath three expansive Georgian windows. For added convenience, a large Jack and Jill bathroom can be accessed from both this bedroom and the hall. The further two bedrooms can also both be configured as super kings or twins and are served by the family shower room, each with stunning views across the surrounding countryside.

Outside, you can choose from a variety of spots to unwind. The sun-soaked patio is the perfect spot for alfresco dining with picturesque views over the rolling countryside whilst the large private lawn to the rear of the property is sure to tempt numerous family games and afternoon picnics in fine weather. Nearby, a short drive will take you to the grand rooms, gardens, and arboretum at the neighbouring Howick Hall, where guests of Littlehoughton Hall and Pele Tower can enjoy complimentary access.
