Description

Originally a simple outbuilding, this ground floor property has been imaginatively developed to create a deceptively spacious property, just a stone's throw from the River Tweed and all the amenities of this picturesque market town.

A stone and wood clad exterior reveals a bright contemporary interior with a lovely curved elevation leading into an open plan living space.

Framed by a wall of glass looking onto a south-facing lawned garden, it has a smart kitchen with integrated appliances, a dining space with seating for up to six, a work desk, and a relaxation space with recliner and a Smart TV.

This leads into two bedrooms, one with a 4'6" bed, and a large en-suite master bedroom with zip and link bed for added flexibility.

The bed in the master bedroom features a Thermaposture Rotoflex bed which can be electronically adjusted, with one side rotating through 90 degrees which allows movement from the upright to the sleeping position for guests with mobility restrictions. This leads into a large en-suite wet room.

Outdoors, there's a large lawned garden which is shared with the owner's property which sits immediately adjacent.

A five minute stroll will take you onto the riverside, the park and the cobbled market square which offers plenty of coffee stops and pubs as well as a lovely selection of independent shops where you can while-away an afternoon or two.

Location

Guests can enjoy all the amenities of this busy market town with its pretty Flemish style square and rich Georgian and Victorian architecture. You will find excellent local amenities here with plenty of pubs, restaurants and coffee stops to choose from as well as a fine range of independent shops where you are guaranteed a warm welcome.

For provisions the town is served by two excellent butchers’ shops, a fishmonger, and a number of bakeries, while two large supermarkets sit nearby for all of your holiday needs.

For dining-out, The Cobbles or the Contented Vine are highly regarded for their food and friendly atmosphere, or for light lunches you will find plenty of tempting treats in the many cafes in the town - including 'Off The Square'; The Tipsy Ghillie, the Hoot ‘n Cat; Cafe U or the Terrace Cafe at Floors Castle.
