The house is set entirely on one floor, making it ideal for those with limited mobility and for couples travelling with a baby or toddler. The large, vaulted open-plan living space is flooded with sunlight thanks to two skylights and dual aspect windows, including double windows that open out onto the prettily landscaped garden.

The newly fitted Shaker-style kitchen offers top-notch appliances and bags of workspace, complete with a central island, as well as easy access to the dining table, which has bench seating and chairs for four guests. Coordinating beautifully with the inky blue accent wall in the kitchen, the sitting room area features an inviting blue linen sofa and contemporary leather armchair facing a wood burning stove.

The bedroom features an indulgent super king bed overlooking the garden as well as a slick bathroom with a bath and large shower. For parents travelling with a little one, a pull-out truckle bed is handily tucked beneath the main bed.

Hiddenhus’ sheltered walled garden and gravelled patio complete the perfect property. Not only is the south-west facing garden sheltered and attractively landscaped with mature camelias, magnolias and colourful borders, but the owners have created multiple seating areas in which to enjoy it. From sun loungers and a bench in the garden to a dining table and pair of Lily Relax chairs by a fire pit on the patio, there’s a spot for everything from al fresco breakfasts and elevenses to afternoon tea and sundowners.
