The large country-style kitchen has a Rangemaster cooker, dishwasher and coffee machine, and is furnished with a striking zinc and copper topped 10-seater refectory table by the inglenook fireplace – highly conducive to atmospheric candle-lit suppers in front of a glowing fire.

There’s an adjacent snug with Smart TV, which could be an excellent hub for youngsters wishing to chill out together. The house offers plenty of practical space too; there’s a utility room with washing machine and dryer and a boot room for storing outdoor clothing, boards, fishing rods and golf clubs or drying out dogs after a happy day gambolling on the beach.

The classical Georgian staircase leads to five bedrooms served by five bathrooms (three en suite) which all benefit from underfloor heating. There are three bedrooms on the front aspect with garden and sea views, including a generously appointed master bedroom, and two further bedrooms to the side, one of which is a bunk room sleeping four, making it ideal for children.

Outside, manicured lawns and the wider parkland beg for games of hide and seek while providing many tempting spots to linger over coffee while absorbing the captivating view.
