Stretches of pristine sandy beaches lie just beyond the doorstep, perfect for unhurried walks with your four-legged companion. Only a short drive from idyllic Bamburgh, you can sample numerous independent eateries or visit the majestic Bamburgh Castle with its towering keep, formidable battlements, and excellent calendar of events.

Inside, Budle Bay Loft is a beautifully light-filled apartment arranged across a single level. Positioned on the third floor with lift access, it features impressive double height ceilings as well as a generous open plan living space. The master bedroom features a contemporary en suite shower room, and a well-appointed main bathroom can also be found off the hallway.

Beyond the apartment, a well-maintained communal garden offers a peaceful setting to linger outdoors, with benches overlooking the ever-changing vistas of Budle Bay. For those wishing to explore further, hop along to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne to explore its historic priory and tranquil coastal trails, including the North Shore Walk or The Pilgrim’s Way. If you’d prefer some seabird spotting, a scenic 10-minute drive will take you to Seahouses, where daily boat trips will whisk you away to the wild Farne Islands.

Guarded by the iconic Bamburgh Castle which rises from its volcanic promontory with an almost mythic authority, this charming village combines the best of Northumbrian hospitality with a stretch of coastline with AONB status. Miles of stunning white sands stretch beneath the castle, from which you can take in views of the wildlife-rich Farne Islands and the fascinating Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Perfect for long dog walks, games, or quiet reflection, it's no wonder this is one of the most beloved beaches in the country.

You can enjoy fantastic fresh seafood at several restaurants in the village, perhaps during a relaxed brunch or with a takeaway from the Walled Garden Café, while the numerous tearooms and ice-cream shops are perfect for afternoon treats. There are also several great pubs for cosying up by the fire with a drink in the evening.

The whole area is bursting with things to do, dotted by a trail of castles and fortifications interspersed with pretty seaside villages all the way up and down the coast. For day trips, why not cross the causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne to trace the legend of St Cuthbert, explore The Alnwick Garden, or take a boat trip from Seahouses to spot puffins and seals in the outstanding Farne Islands nature reserve and seabird sanctuary.
